About Us

Jessica Throneburg Little Details

I'm Jessica Throneburg, the founder and CEO of Little Details. I started Little Details as an Etsy shop specializing in personalization in October 2012. Over the past 11 years, my e-commerce business has evolved into a women's lifestyle boutique, specializing in size-inclusive apparel, accessories, gifts and home decor.

In 2017, I opened a brick-and-mortar location in Garner, NC. I recognized a need in the Garner community: a need not only for a local store, but a place where women could come to build relationships. Those relationships caused us quickly to outgrow our first storefront. In March 2020, we quadrupled our square footage and opened a 5200 sq. ft. storefront, which is our current home.

As a plus size woman, I've always felt like an outsider when shopping in stores. There were never options that fit me, or there were only solid basics that were oversized and frumpy. While there are more options now than there were when I started 11 years ago, the industry still has a long way to go to offer size-inclusive apparel. While my store isn’t 100% size-inclusive (yet), I focus on the following criteria when selecting apparel:
  • Must be size-inclusive
  • Must be women-owned
  • Must be a give-back brand and/or made in a fair-trade factory
  • Must be locally made or designed
The longer I’m in this business, the higher my expectations get. I only want to bring you the BEST, and we continue to strive for that each and every week as we launch new styles!
Jessica Throneburg #PayingItFord Little Details

In January 2015, my son Ford was born prematurely at 28 weeks. He spent 160 days in the NICU at UNC Hospital. We received support from family, friends, and customers that allowed me to sustain Little Details. Ever since, I've been committed to #PayingItFord to others in need by offering fundraising events for schools and non-profits in our community through private and public shopping events.

While our store supports a variety of non-profits each year, we have one that near and dear to our hearts: The Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill. Our family stayed at the House during Ford's NICU stay, and we are forever grateful for being able to be near Ford during the most critical times. We host fundraisers for RMHCH that allow us to support the House financially, including our Stuff the Bag Sale and our Holiday Open House.
